Performance Manage People
The task of the leader is to get his people from where they are, to where they have not been.
People performance management is about exactly that: managing the performance of people (self included), to meet set targets and behavioural goals for business success.
The productivity of work is not the responsibility of the worker but of the manager.
Performance management can be easier said than done and it can be complex. It is all about using the tools available to raise the performance of the individual and the team. This includes everything from the setting of basic behavioural expectations with employees, through to setting objectives that are achievable, and then coaching and providing feedback to employees.
