Time Management

by Di McLanachan

Introduction

It is important to be aware that even though this section is called time management, it is actually about self management in the time available. We all have exactly the same number of seconds, minutes and hours in every day. How we utilise them will determine how productive we are, how effectively we achieve our objectives, targets and goals, and how relaxed or stressed we feel in the process.

This applies not only to our working lives but also to our personal lives. Has anyone ever requested an inscription on their tombstone reading ‘I wish I’d spent more time at the office’?

Work-life Balance is covered in greater depth in a separate topic. This topic will focus on tips and techniques for achieving optimum results in the time available.
